If we look at any literature especially drama, we can see that the influence of folk culture or folklore is more or less present at the root of its creation. So writers and palakars too could never completely ignore its influence, which was no exception in the palas created by Uppal Dutta. Although he composes his verses in a political context, the folk influence is evident in them. One of which appeared in his 'Bhuli Nai Priya' and 'Joy Bangla' turns. A comprehensive discussion of which is our goal.
Keywords: Folk Culture.
