More
than fifty years have passed since the Liberation War, yet Bangladesh has still
not received full International recognition for the Genocide and mass rapes
committed during that time. In recent years, several films and web series have
been produced in Pakistan, set against the backdrop of the Liberation War. Instead
of portraying the brutal realities of that period, these narratives are cloaked
in falsehoods. Their underlying intent appears to be the misguidance of the
younger generation. These productions perpetuate the fascist mindset that
targeted the innocent people of Bangladesh in 1971, continuing that legacy
through distorted storytelling.
