ABSTRACT
India is an ancient civilized country. If we judge from the point of view civilization, India is not less in any respect.  Similarly, in terms of History, it is not less than any country in the world.  Various events that took place in India during the ancient era or early era, middle era and modern era are still written in India's heart. Among them the Chola race also started an important chapter in the History of ancient India. Rajendra Chola-I of the Chola is also known as an important king in ancient Indian History. The Chola is also mentioned in the Mahabharata. Vaiyakaran knew about the Katyayana Cholas. Greek and Roman Historians also mention the Chola. Chola port is mentioned in the Periplus. The names of the Ptolemaic Chola ports Kaveripatnam and Nagapattinam are found. Initially the Chola were very powerful, but later the Chola power gradually declined due to the invasion of the Chalukya, Pallavas and Rashtrakutas.
