Some Thoughts on Pushkar Dasgupta and the Visual Form of Poetry Chaitali Ghosh, Research Scholar, University of North Bengal, West Bengal, India
Pushkar Dasgupta, the chief theoretician of the Shruti movement, was a notable poet of the 1960s. His ideas regarding poetic form and typographic layout created a significant stir in the literary world. Inspired by Mallarmé, Cummings, and Apollinaire, Dasgupta established a new sensibility through his creations and literary activism. This essay examines how he shaped the visual dimensions of poetry through his work.
