Vehicles are the means of transport. Vehicles play an important role in the process of development of human civilization. Man with his unlimited needs changed his means of transport to mechanical vehicles from some animals used for communication in ancient age and consequently the civilization is also developed to this modern era. This change also affects the literature. Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore’s thought is not an exception. Vehicles play an important role in Tagore’s literature including short stories. Sometimes, these vehicles become a character in the theme of short stories. Vehicles are not only used to simply narrate the fact but to contol the central theme of the story. The present resume focuses on the role of vehicles in short stories of Rabindranath Tagore. | |
