Santali language is a very ancient language. It was included in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India on 22nd December 2003. Santali language has been given official recognition. Santali is a very ancient language; it is one of the languages of the Austric group. The goal of recognizing the Santali language was achieved through many struggles and mass movements. The BJP government was forced to support the Santali language bill as well. On 22 December 2003, the Santali language was also included in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.
