Santal tribe is one of the primitive inhabitants of India. From birth to death, its own rules and rituals are unique. Santal life is full of dance and song. Santali folk Song has different tunes, the variety of rhythm and the spontaneity of the expression is wonderfully appealing. The musical instruments used in Santali folk Song are Tumdak (Drum), Tamak (Cattle Drumn), Triyo (Flute), Banain (Fiddle) etc. Santali folk song is not only a source of joy or inspiration Because Here, science consciousness. Socialism, past-tradition, history, mythology, religious ideas, poetics and livelihood are mixed together. Suntali folk Song is unique in its diversity and characteristics. Secular and religious Song is full of life, family and social life by listening to humanity. The central point of Santal life and religion is nature’s plants, forests rivers, streams, animals, moon and sun etc. Images of group consciousness and unity can be seen everywhere in Santali folk Song. In the evening Tumdak (Drum) and Tamak (Cattle Drum) from rhythm mixes with the sound of Santali folk songs from Santal Village Which touches our mind and heart. Santali folk music is performed with dance accompaniment. They are Dong, Lagre, Baha, Saharai, Karam, Dansai, Pata etc. All these folk songs have been flowing from prehistoric times to poetic imagination, artistic thinking, and sense of humour and construction techniques along with the spread of literature for ages, generations after generations.
